In-Home Veterinary Visits: Ease and Care for the Well-Being of Your Pet

For many pets and their people, a trip to the veterinarian is a source of anxiety – for both parties. In-home veterinary visits offer a convenient and calming alternative, providing essential services in the familiar comfort of your own home. Our in-home visits are intended to make routine care easier for you and  less stressful for your furry companions.

Services Offered During In-Home Visits

  • Vaccinations: We administer core and non-core vaccines, ensuring your pet is protected from common diseases without the hassle of a clinic visit. It also protects them from diseases that may be present there from contact with sick animals or the surfaces they have been on. Click here to see available vaccines and their costs.

  • Wellness Examinations: Every home visit includes a checkup where we examine your pet’s eyes, ears, mouth, heart rate, blood pressure and more to identify any areas of possible concern regarding your pet’s health.

  • Blood Testing: Like humans, periodic blood testing is recommended for our pets to provide us with the opportunity to identify possible healthcare issues as early as possible. Timely treatment can make a big difference in your pet’s prognosis.

  • Urinary Testing: If your pet has been marking furniture or needing to urinate more frequently, or your cat is avoiding the litterbox, a urinary test is highly recommended to identify any infections which may be contributing to the behavior.

  • Fecal Testing: Loose stool, worms or, again, for cats, missing the litterbox are all reasons fecal testing is recommended. Treating infection or infestation is extremely important in maintaining your pet’s wellness.

  • Heartworm Preventive and Testing: Preventing heartworm infection is very important in helping your pet to live a long and healthy life. Heartworm testing provides peace of mind regarding your dog’s health, or, alternately, the opportunity to treat a heartworm infection.

  • FIV/FeLV Testing: Like heartworm testing, testing provides peace of mind regarding your pet’s health, or, alternately, the opportunity to provide appropriate support in the event of an infection.

  • Eye/Ear Infections and Ear Infestations: Ears and eyes, when irritated or painful, are very uncomfortable for our pets. Drops, salves and/or antibiotics can provide important relief and make your pet much more comfortable.

  • Microchip Insertion: So when you and your pet are separated, the chance of you reuniting is substantially higher.

  • Anal Gland Expression: For pets who need it, we provide careful and hygienic anal gland expression, helping to prevent discomfort and potential infections.

  • Nail Trims: Regular nail trims are vital for your pet’s comfort and health. We handle the process gently and efficiently, reducing the risk of injury or discomfort.

Benefits of In-Home Veterinary Care

  •  Reduced Stress: Your pet remains in a familiar environment, minimizing anxiety and making the experience more positive for everyone involved.

  • Personalized Attention: In-home appointments allow for dedicated, one-on-one time with the veterinarian, so your concerns and your pet’s needs are fully addressed.

  • Convenience: No need to travel or wait in a clinic—appointments are scheduled at a time that works for you on week days between 9AM and 5PM.

  • Ideal for Multiple Pets: If you have more than one pet, we can care for everyone in a single visit, saving you time and effort.

What to Expect During an In-Home Visit

We arrive prepared with all necessary supplies and equipment.

Your pet will receive a gentle physical examination, and we will review their health history, diet, and any recent changes you’ve observed.

Afterwards, we’ll perform the agreed-upon services and answer any questions you may have. You’ll receive up-to-date documentation and recommendations for ongoing care.

Our goal is to make veterinary care accessible, comfortable, and thorough. We want to help you ensure your pet remains healthy and happy with minimal disruption to their routine.

If you’re interested in scheduling an in-home visit or learning more about our services, please email or call for an appointment. We look forward to partnering with you in caring for your beloved companion.
